A Message to Penn Faculty and Staff

We want to first thank you for all you are doing and contributing to our community during this unprecedented time and offer our best wishes to you for a very happy, healthy holiday season. We hope you will be able to take time to rest and refresh after a very long and challenging year.
As we end the fall semester and calendar year amid a national spike in COVID-19 cases, we are writing to remind you of the importance of self-care. Following public health guidance – wearing a mask, maintaining a safe physical distance, and making sure to wash your hands often – is critical to caring for yourself and those around you. Along with Penn Cares screening testing and Red Pass symptomatic and exposure testing, which will be available to those living, working or doing research on campus during the winter break and upon the start of the spring semester in January, please make sure to care for your mental health and overall wellness:
- CONNECT with your loved ones – whether online or safely distanced and masked in-person,
- REFLECT on how you’re feeling,
- SUPPORT yourself and one another by asking for help and asking loved ones if they are okay.
