A Message to Penn Undergraduates

We are enormously appreciative of your hard work, patience, and resilience during this semester. While the COVID-19 positivity rates for undergraduates are not where we would like them to be, we are hopeful that these numbers will fall in the weeks ahead, as we continue to see positivity rates decline across our region.
In the spirit of looking ahead, we want to help focus on some of our great Penn traditions that you may have missed over the past two years. We are initiating a friendly competition for undergraduates, with prizes for every class year. The three goals for each class are:
- 95% or more students upload their COVID booster shot information by February 28 (other than those with approved exemptions)
- 95% or more students upload their flu vaccine information by February 28 (other than those with approved exemptions)
- 95% or more students complete their once-every-two-week surveillance tests by February 28
If these goals are met by February 28, we are offering the following prizes for each class:
- Class of 2022: $25,000 for Feb Club
- Class of 2023: $25,000 for Hey Day
- Class of 2024: $25,000 for U-Night
- Class of 2025: $25,000 for tickets to Spring Fling
Any class that meets these goals will receive its prize. You will be hearing more from your Class Board presidents, and we encourage you to reach out to them if you have any suggestions. We look forward to the weeks and months ahead, and we will continue to keep you updated as events progress. Good luck on the challenge!
