COVID Navigator is an automated, text-based program that will help to monitor the health and wellbeing of all undergrad, graduate, and professional students who have a Red PennOpen Pass due to a positive COVID-19 test, COVID symptoms, or exposure.
After an initial consultation with either Student Health Service or Campus Health personnel, who inform them about the program, students will receive one daily text to assess how they’re feeling. Based on their response, their individual need is escalated and they are connected with the necessary care or resources, including:
- Medical care through Student Health Service
- Mental health services through CAPS
- Quarantine and isolation guidance and support through Campus Health
- Resources for those needing help with food access, academic support, and more through the Social Needs Response Team (SNRT)
Students with a Red PennOpen Pass (except those issued for non-compliance) are automatically enrolled in COVID Navigator. They can opt out at any time.
